Tympanometry & Middle Ear Assessments: Evaluates eardrum movement and checks for fluid, infections, or other middle ear concerns.
Speech Recognition Testing: Measures how well your child understands words and speech in different listening environments.
CAPD testing: CAPD testing (Central Auditory Processing Disorder testing) is used to see how well someone's brain processes sounds. It's especially useful for people who struggle understanding speech in noisy environments, even though their hearing is normal.
It tests how the brain interprets sounds.
Done with a series of listening tasks.
Important for people with trouble focusing on auditory information.
Helps identify if CAPD is affecting communication.
This testing is often for children or adults who have trouble with understanding speech, but their hearing is fine.
Management & Family Support:
Individualized care plans based on test results
Hearing aid fitting and programming if needed
Referrals to ENT or early intervention services
Guidance on communication strategies and classroom accommodations
